Eleven vendors and us, side by side. Every price here comes from the vendor's own page, never an estimate. Work out your category before anyone sends you a quote.
AI chatbot pricing in Malaysia splits three ways. Self-serve platforms run RM 50 to about RM 1,400 a month. Managed services run RM 2,999 to RM 4,800. Custom builds start near RM 1,000 a workflow. Ten of the eleven vendors we track publish their rates. XIMNET, the enterprise integrator, quotes per project. Regional platforms bill in US dollars, so your cost moves with the exchange rate.
Local platforms, regional platforms and us. Local rates checked 22 August 2026, the rest on 27 August 2026.
| Vendor | Category | Published price | Known for |
|---|---|---|---|
| The CrunchYou are here | Done for you | RM 200 – RM 2,500 / mo | We build it, we run it, we train your team |
| ILMUchat | Malaysian AI assistant | RM 0 – RM 50 / mo | Local hosting and rojak handling |
| Mampu AI | Self-serve platform | RM 0 – RM 599 / mo | Fast setup, no contract, published rates |
| LuluChat | WhatsApp automation | RM 299 – RM 999 / mo | WhatsApp only, metered on messages |
| BixTech | Custom AI agency | From RM 1,000 / workflow | Custom builds, multilingual |
| XIMNET | Enterprise integrator | Not published | Enterprise scope, procurement-friendly |
| ManyChat | Creator automation | USD 0 – USD 139 / mo | Instagram and Messenger first, priced on active contacts. We set these up. |
| Wati | WhatsApp automation | USD 39 – USD 99 / mo | WhatsApp only, message charges on top |
| Respond.io | Omnichannel inbox | USD 79 – USD 279 / mo | Several channels in one queue for a sales team |
| ChatDaddy | WhatsApp automation | USD 59 – USD 799 / mo | Published rates assume annual billing |
| SleekFlow | Omnichannel workflow | RM 469 – RM 1,419 / mo | Publishes ringgit rates, built for bigger teams |
Ringgit figures are the vendor's own. Dollar figures are billed in USD, so your real cost moves with the exchange rate.
We put ourselves first because hiding would be worse. Every row below sells you software. The top row sells you the finished result. A monthly fee is the easiest thing to compare and the least useful. What each route costs to get working is below.
For what each tier includes, the PDPA questions to put to any vendor and the local language considerations, see our AI chatbot Malaysia guide. For platform features compared internationally, see our best AI chatbot platform comparison.

The most common mistake is putting a RM 99 subscription and a RM 20,000 build on one spreadsheet and scoring them on features.
A subscription you configure and operate. Most of the table sits here, from ILMUchat and Mampu AI locally to ManyChat, Wati and SleekFlow. Live in hours, limited to what the product does, and the real cost is staff attention no pricing page shows you.
Somebody else runs the platform for you. Right when you want the outcome without hiring and your use case still fits inside a product.
A team scopes, builds and integrates. Priced per project because scope varies by an order of magnitude. Right when the bot has to reach into the systems your business runs on.
Work out your category first. Only then is a feature-by-feature comparison worth the afternoon it takes.

Set by Meta and billed separately from every vendor here. They scale with volume and vary by country and conversation category.
Several Malaysian vendors publish annual-billing rates as the headline. Quarterly can cost materially more for an identical product.
Tiers are usually limited by monthly active contacts or message volume rather than features, so the tier you land on is set by your traffic, not your ambition.
Never billed, always paid. On a subscription this is the largest real cost and the one most often left out of the comparison.
Signing up is not deploying. Somebody still has to write the flows, load your content and connect the channel, and vendors quote setup effort far less consistently than they quote price.
Conversation flows rarely transfer between platforms, so a migration is usually a rebuild. Ask what you can export before you need to.
Four ways to end up with a working system. They differ on who does the work, and who pays when it does not work.

| Hire someone | Buy a tool, run it yourself | Agency builds, then leaves | Done for you | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| What you pay | A salary, rising every year | RM 50 to RM 1,000 a month | A one-off build fee | A monthly fee |
| Who builds it | They do, learning on your time | You do, after hours | They do, for a few weeks | We do |
| When it goes live | When they are ready | Often never | On their project schedule | About 30 days |
| Who runs it in month seven | They may have left | Usually nobody | Nobody | We do |
| Who carries the risk | You | You | You | We do |
The most expensive line on this page is not the biggest number. It is a subscription nobody finished setting up. It bills every month and returns nothing, and no pricing page shows you that cost.
Uptime is what a platform guarantees. Here are the three things we guarantee instead.

We do not hand over a build and call the job done. If the system is not doing what we built it for, we fix it, and we carry the cost.
The most common reason one of these dies is nobody knows how to drive it. We train your people on your own setup, until they run it without us in the room.
Onboarding, written documentation, and a named person to contact after you go live. Answers inside 24 hours, not a login and good luck.
Every promise here answers a way these projects fail. A platform guarantees the software runs. We guarantee the result.
Most stalled chatbots are not the wrong platform. They are the right platform nobody finished setting up. Switching costs you the setup twice.
Competitor pricing and feature claims are read from each company's own public pages and dated on the individual comparison. We have no access to any vendor's private pricing, roadmap or customer data.
Where a vendor publishes no rates, the table says "not published" rather than carrying an estimate. One of the eleven vendors tracked here is in that position.
These comparisons are written by The Crunch, which sells competing services. We are not a neutral party and do not claim to be. What we can offer is figures you can check yourself and a straight account of where a competitor beats us.
Information last checked: 27 August 2026. Malaysian chatbot pricing and packaging change several times a year. Where a figure is not published, we say so rather than estimate it. If you represent a company named here and something is inaccurate, contact us and we will correct it within 48 hours.
Start by working out which category you need, because comparing across categories wastes time.
(1) Self-serve platforms are a subscription you operate. Cheap, fast, and limited to what the product does.
(2) Managed services run the platform for you, typically RM 3,000 to RM 5,000 per month.
(3) Agencies and integrators build custom, from around RM 1,000 for a single workflow to tens of thousands for an integrated system.
Only once you know your category is a feature-by-feature comparison worth doing.
Ten of the eleven publish rates. XIMNET is the one that does not.
As an enterprise integrator XIMNET quotes per project, which is normal for that category. The practical effect is you cannot compare them without entering a sales process.
Full figures and what each tier includes are in our AI chatbot Malaysia guide.
No, and you should not treat any vendor's comparison page as neutral, including ours.
What we can do is be specific and checkable. Every competitor figure is read from that company's own public pricing page and dated, and where a vendor does not publish something we say so rather than estimate it.
We also say plainly where a competitor is the better buy, which for a lot of readers it is. If you spot something inaccurate, tell us and we will correct it within 48 hours.
WhatsApp conversation charges, which Meta bills separately from every vendor on this page and which scale with your message volume.
Also watch the billing cadence. Several Malaysian vendors publish annual-billing rates as the headline figure, with quarterly costing materially more for an identical product.
And the largest hidden cost is not billed at all: somebody has to write the flows, watch the failures and keep the content current.
Yes. We are the first row of the table, marked so you know whose page you are reading.
Every rate above is read from that vendor's own pricing page, ours included, and we say plainly where a self-serve subscription beats what we do.
Read the row for what it is. The other rows price software. Ours prices the finished result, which is a different purchase at a different number.
Very little, from any vendor, ourselves included. Superlatives like leading, No. 1 and fastest-growing are marketing positions rather than measured claims, and no independent body audits them in this market.
Ask instead for the things that can be checked. What is the published price for the tier I will actually land on? How many active contacts or messages does it include? Where is conversation data stored? What deflection rate will you commit to?
A vendor that answers those four straight is telling you more than any award badge. A vendor that redirects to a demo booking is telling you something too.
On published rates, ILMUchat and Mampu AI both offer genuinely free tiers, and ILMUchat's paid tier at RM 50 per month is the cheapest paid entry in this market.
Cheapest is not the same as right. Free and entry tiers are gated hard, usually on monthly active contacts or message volume, and most businesses reach a paid tier within a few months.
Work out your likely monthly contact volume first, then compare the tier you will actually land on rather than the one on the poster.
Tell us what the bot has to connect to, which languages it needs and who will look after it. We will point you at the right category, including when that means a subscription we do not sell.
